- The InCom T-65 X-wing is the fighter that killed the Death Star. An almost perfect balance of speed, maneuverability, and defensive shielding make it the fighter of choice for Rogue Squadron.

And not only for Rogue Squadron, the T-65c X-wing starfighter is a symbol of the Rebellion starfighter corps as a whole. Originally designed for the Empire, the Alliance retrieved four prototypes and the design of the X-wing when the entire InCom team defected to them, taking with them working prototypes and blueprints for further production. Soon after, mass production began and the all-round model soon became the mainstay fighter of the Alliance.
The X-Wing is an excellent multipurpose fighter capable of taking on both starfighters and heavier targets such as capital ships, as it's moderately armed as well as fast and agile. With four laser cannons it can kill enemy fighters quickly, and its boost function enables it to outrun TIE Fighters. One of its drawbacks is that its long wingspan and nose makes it easier to hit than a TIE Fighter or Interceptor, and also makes it easy for enemy pilots to tell its flight direction when within visual range, making interception easier.
